Work at not loosing your "SELF!" , your 'self' worth and your own respect.

Address it from the start and don't accept it no matter how you feel, how supportive, compassionate and understanding you are of the other person and their personal problems that are contributing to causing their verbal abuse of you.

It can sadly destroy your relationship and cause you such emotional turmoil that it may take you a long time to help your own 'self' over it.

It is a very hard, sad lesson to learn.
