Where Are the Sustainable Energy Jobs in America?
71Employment Trends 2000 - 2020
Many voices in the 2010s shouted that there were no jobs in America, although major Job Search Engines listed at least 4,500,000+ job openings at any given point between autumn 2010 and spring 2011. However, jobs seemed to cluster in certain market area and overall, not enough jobs for every unemployed job seeker were available.
Some of the voices were looking for union jobs with related high wages, and some of these were indeed no longer to be found. Other voices bemoaned the lack of enough clean and sustainable energy jobs promised by the presidential campaign of 2008 and during State of the Union addresses. Still others reported thast in early 2011, US Unemployment was actually at 22%. Many questions hung in the air.
Where are the American jobs in 2011 related to sustainable and renewable energy resources, petroleum and natural gas, and other forms of energy?
