Vacation Nuggets for Fun and Adventure

In the good ole' mid-summertime, many individuals, families, and even pets take vacations. During times of economic stress, these journeys may not take us so far away, but we still enjoy our few days off from the hectic daily schedule. A change of scenery can make all the difference to one's outlook on life.

In wealthier years, we may go pretty far afield - like to the moon with Apollo 11 on July 20, 1969 - 40 years ago. What a travel anniversary!

Can it really be that long ago and far away? And is Star Trek® really 43 years old as well?

Yes, yes, and yes.

It's time for the weekly HubNuggets Wannabe Revue and even our friendly "Apollo Astronaut" on the move above would like to be a Wannabe. He'll need to join HubPages for that, but he does not have to join in order to vote. Anyone can vote and support these talented new writers on HubPages.

The July moon among the Omaha Nation people is often called the Moon When the Buffalo Bellow. Perhaps bison were bellowing on the plains during the Lunar Landing. Other nations call it the Moon of the Salmon Gathering Up River, so the salmon may have been running as man took his first steps on Luna.

Whatever we call the moon, this month it's shining on travel, adventure, and nature, to name just a few topics.

July may be a travelin' month of vacations and journeys, but you don't have to wander 40 years through time or through the desert to find some good reading and provocative, fun. mind-stimulating material. We have it all right here for you at the Weekly HubNugget Wannabe Revue-Review.

Even vote for yourself without guilt.
