John F. Kennedy and the Marilyn Monroe Murder - Did LBJ Arrange Deaths?
84
Assassinations and Rumors: JFK, RFK, Marilyn Monroe, Martin Luther King Jr.
In late 1963, some government sources stated that they would not release the true and complete details of John Fitzgerald Kennedy's demise to the general public until every living person form November 22, 1963 was dead.
Later, the Warren Commission Report was released with the statement that this was the true and complete account of the assassination. Not believing this to be the full account and recalling the statement of some government officals (previous paragraph), investigators and film makers have continued to examine the crime from all angles and possible connections for almost half a century.

Marilyn Monroe Murder
A recording of a conversation was brought to light inthe late 1970s and discussed in the 1980s. It was a recorded phone conversation from Marilyn Monroe's bungalow on the night of here death. The conversation was between Peter Lawford (married into the Kennedy clan) and someone from the government. The important line was from Lawford: "She's had her last enema." The tape was confiscated and its whereabouts unknown. However, other incriminating information has surfaced in the film presentation of the evidence for murder (see sidebar link).
Marilyn Monroe used enemas to keep her weight down, much like an eating disorder, and kept the old-style enema bag hanging in her bathroom. Some theorists believe that barbiturates were put into her enema bag becuase they are more quickly absorbed into the colon and intestine than if taken by mouth.
I did not have an opinion about this until I saw a rerun of the animal veterinary show fomr the UK, All Creatures Great and Small. Among its fascinating true stories there was an epidsode in which a sick tiger, under the influence of some substance that prevented his waking. He would soon die and fluids could not be pumped into his stomach fast enough to help. He was up and moving in a short time. He was adminstered strong black lukewarm coffee rectally and was up in a few hours.
A bell rang and I was convinced. Murder was possible in the Monroe case. Barbiturates would not show up in her stomach if this method had been used.

Great timeline. I'm ashamed to say that at the age of 42, much of this information is new to me. Thanks for the education!
Very informative, Patty Inglish, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. A lot of interesting stuff.

Wonderful, meaty hub. Takes me back to those days starting with JFK's assasination and then there was MLK and RFK--not to mention the 1968 Democratic convention. It felt like the world was going mad.
I've always smelled a rat about the JFK assasination. His father was a real crook and did lots of underhanded stuff to assure his son's election...spread a lot of money around too. It is said that during the 1960 campaign he made a deal with Mayor Daley in Chicago and with the Mafia to deliver Illilnois to JFK. Thus the Mafia thought when JFK was elected that they had a man in the White HOuse who "owed them"- It was rumored at the time that when RFK started turning up the heat on organized crime, JFK was "warned" and told to stop him and that the mafia was behind his assasination--could be. I always thought the Oswald, Jack Ruby thing was fishy. As for MM, no doubt that poor woman was silenced because she knew too much. I'm not usually big on conspiracy theories, but those were turbulent times and something smelled bad. We were all glued to the TV through the whole thing. You could feel the sorrow of the entire American people on the streets. It drew us together. It was our generation's 9/11. Anyone who was alive at the time remembers exactly where he/she was at the moment the news broke.
see what I mean? we all have a clear, personal memory--but I'm glad you got to meet Leontine Price. Now that's a memory to treasure for sure! Yup--look into the Joe Kennedy-Illinois thing.......very interesting.
Exceptional hub, Patty.
Great Hub Patty interesting, I wonder if we will ever know the truth about what really happened and why.
I was at work on Nov. 22, 1963 when word came that JFK had been shot. I spent the next several days glued to the TV watching the 24/7 coverage. I was shocked beyond belief. But I do not share the belief in all the conspiracy theories that have circulated in books and movies since then. Nothing has been proven -- and more than likely will never be proven. Even Lincoln's assassination is still under the cloud of conspiracy theories. The Kennedys have been marked by many tragedies, but I admire the family. Marilyln Monre herself was a tragic figure, but I do not believe she was murdered. Nevertheless, I found the your hub interesting.
I for one am anxious to see the Marilyn Monroe movie coming out in Summer 2008. Answers or no, it will be intriguing to watch under the light of history and conspiracy theory research. I wonder if it will premiere on the anniversary of her death - August 5.
Interesting article. Here is a web site you might find interesting: http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/home.htm
Fascinating hub, I have read some very interesting things about Marilyn Monroe, in a book, titled, Painted Black this book was written by Carl A. Raschke, a crime investigator, that specialized in ritualistic murders, and it tells about Marilyn's connections with Anton Le Vey, and also about La Vey's connections with actress Jane Mansfeild. Very interesting book, you article reminded me of that. Very interesting hub.
Fascinating hub. There's so much about this entire deal we still don't know.
Look to Bobby Kennedy, there the truth will untangle, its up to the family, its there.
I'm writing a history paper- this piece really helped me get a decent understanding of events ..Thanx!
Excellent article. I wasn't certain with the title but all of your articles are wonderful so I should have known. Will be sure to link back to you on my JBK articles. Heather is right - wonderful for a history patper. Great job!
Patty Inglish,
The rare photo - any news on the price at auction?
"The black and white photograph, taken by White House photographer Cecil Stoughton, shows her in the revealing, rhinstone studded dress she wore whilst singing at Madison Square Garden in New York.
President Kennedy, who was not known to be camera shy, appears to be turning his face towards the wall and away from the camera, while his brother Robert F Kennedy looks on.
The Secret Service had clear instructions not to allow any photographs to be taken of the President and Miss Monroe together and the picture only survived because when agents came to confiscate it, the negatives were in the photographic dryer."
Fascinating history.
I was 9 when I did not know much about the USA. All I knew were the comic books I read, nothing else. That was strange time. I was with some of cousins in Karachi, two of them were in their late teens were sobbing. I saw the newspaper which they were reading. I saw another where I was staying with mom. A line of photographs. Of a person whom I did not know and the story of some actress at the same time. The two incidents stayed in my mind to this day.I do not know how it was reported that the actress had been killed a year before. When both stories appeared at the same time. I had no reason to think it was something it was separate. These curious things happened when that small.Few years later the president's brother was killed. It made my mom sad, I was feeling strange. What is happening in the USA? Life went for me and all the kids my age. The grown-ups upset. I was not sure what my feelings should be. Anyway it was a lifetime ago. Everyone who had been killed in the USA at that time was strange many people are several years younger than I am now and do know this story, which was with all the time.
Hi,
I want to know what role did Robert F. Kennedy play as an Attorney General of the United States in case of assassination of JFK?
Great article with many links to other sources of information. This topic has always fascinated me and I doubt if we ever will know the real truth in our lifetimes. I was 10 years old and sick in bed with a strep infection when I heard the news on TV. I remember watching the funeral televised and Little John John saluting his father. Even though I was just a kid myself, that really tugged at my heart strings.
It was a sad, violent and scary time period in our history.
Thanks for sharing this information.
Voted up, useful, awesome and interesting.

What tangled messes there are in history. In 1963 we still lived in Belgium, I was almost ten when JFK was killed. Everyone came to our apartment to watch the funeral because we were the only family who had a TV in our building. I would take a guess that, that was the first major incident that was televised worldwide at actual time.
Another great Hub. regards Zsuzsy
