Top 15 High Demand Jobs in San Jose

San Jose is the home base of SimplyHired.com, a superior job search and employment trending engine in the Internet. The city is also a college town named to the Forbes.com list of Top 20 College Towns in America.

All of the Top 20 experienced increases in job numbers in 2008 - 2009, despite a recession. In San Jose, this amounted to overcoming a marked loss of jobs from July 2008 - Spring 2009 to increase job listings thereafter to levels occurring prior to the job loss. The numbers lost were regained and continued on an incline during Autumn 2009. During the first week of December 2009, over 41,100 job listings were available.

Unemployment rose in 2009 to a high of 12.1% in August, but declined slightly and began to rise again in October, despite increasing numbers of jobs recorded.
