Searchlight, Nevada has grown in population by 39% from 2000 to 2010. The home of Senator Harry Reid (D-Nevada) enjoyed an upswing in business at the end of March 2010 as Tea Party groups traveled in busloads to the village in order to campaign against Senator Reid in the November 2010 elections.
