How to Find High Paying Jobs
Some of the most highly paid job titles in America may not be advertised at all. They may be within the hidden job market, or available only to Executive Recruiters/Head Hunters with which a potential job candidate might need to register and pay for the privilege of such information. Please see the links fpr Executive Recruiters below for lists and professional reviews of top executive recruiting firms, both domestic and international.
Considering Internet-advertised jobs of all pay scales, two job search engines collect all of the jobs everywhere they appear on the Internet and are also publically accessible. These two are Indeed.com and SimplyHired.com. When searching for a job, we can remember that both of these job search engines provided separate search engines for many different nations. These nations are usually listed across the bottom of the home page of each of the two engines mentioned.

We can see from this list that all of the 10 job titles are directly involved in the Healthcare Industry, although CEOs can be physicians as well and lead healthcare organizations. It is reasonable to assume, then, that a proportion of the CEOs in this list are also physicians. The US Bureau of Statistics therefore shows that the position of physician is generally the most highly paid in the USA, although some non-doctor CEOs receive larger compensation packages, especially in bonuses. This last phenomenon has been a point of contention between the Federal Government and Corporate America, especially from 2008 - 2010.

Wow, you have a great research here. It will help a lot of people which is so kind of you.
I liked the pay rate for the analyst job, over US$100 per hour. Sweet that must be.
Good to know this list. Looks like going back to school is in order
But what, I wonder, are the 10 jobs that provide the greatest happiness and fulfillment. Does anyone know?
As a lawyer for more than 15 years, I'd say the average salary is right on. As far as time required to make that $$, probably add about 1,000 hours per year. *sigh*
Your hubs on jobs are so well written that I hand out your profile url to clients on a regular basis. I email links to your hubs almost daily. In this economy I have a lot of folks that really are looking for employment. Your myriad hubs on jobs really are a good starting point for many in their job search.
Very informative Hub.
Thanks for all this info. Great hub and so much info. I think this will help alot of people become more informed to make decisions on where they are heading.
Thanks for this interesting coverage. I was interested to see that one of the new Denver Broncos quarterbacks, Tim Teebow from Florida was offered a contract for 33 million dollars over the next 6 years. But I wonder what the average salary is for an NFL player? In contrast, I've been content with an English Professor's meager salary for 40 years but obviously money was notthe majorconcern.
Air traffic controllers should be on there too! :P
What would you advise me, if I would like to live in the US later? Is is it hard to get a job and visa (or what) to do this?
Thanks for these lists Patty. Americans now have to know what kind and available jobs are there since a recession was suffered last year. This is a good help for those who are eager and willing to work again and earn for their family.
This is some great information, it is very well written too. I look forward to reading more of your hubs. Voted up.
This is great info. Thanks for this!
Never knew that chief Executive Officers got that much! Maybe I'm in the wrong business. Ha. Anyway, great hub. Loved it!
Great page. very informative and interesting. Looks like you put a lot of effort and research into it. Keep up the good work!
Interesting facts. Thanks for the info! Note: I'd heard dentists have the highest suicide rate. Also pilots jobs may not be super stable if that's what you are looking for, so just a heads up.
Great article! It's interesting to see who are the highest earners in America.
i wish i had any of those listed jobs :)
Great article about highest paying jobs Advertised in America thanks nice post in hubepages thanks for sharing
Good info. Looks like I need to go back to school to be a physician.
Hmmm..maybe being a Hub writer will be on there some day, eh?
Wow! great hub, this is very informative!
Oh wow! I'd be set if I got one of those jobs. Thanks for the interesting hub!
Whoa, Ob-GYNs! had no clue they could make that much. or dentists. Very interesting! thanks for posting this hub =]
Thanks for this man, really interesting and informative. Wasn't quite sure what a 'flight engineer' is though?
Simply broke down if you want to be in the top careers you almost gotta be a doctor sad to say.
Its interesting when you see these high paying and then consider the cost of education compared to other careers.
Great and useful Hub! I've gotta change my career! I'm a teacher and make next to nothing...
out of all the jobs technology jobs are hot. paid lot and, one thing many people do not pay attention. Difficult to enter but pays more
Great Article Patty. Definitely an eye opener!
If I had this information when I was in High School, I know I would have been a Doctor or a Dentist! as a kid I could watch operations in progress and eat a food while watching. If someone was bleeding that didn't bother me then either. So if I knew about the pay along with the amount of school, I would be a doctor or dentist today!!
Now I will share this information with anyone who is interested in becoming all they can be and starting at a young age!!
Thanks for this HubPage!!!
In today's world, A good occupation will always coincide with a college education. However, there is a great profession that does not require a college degree. If you are motivated, energetic, friendly, and ready to learn you should think about a career in sales!
Hmmm, none of them seem to list lazy hobby writer as a desirable hiring trait. I guess the search continues...
Wow, you really did your research! Great info.
Alot of really interesting stats! Love getting my head around some new graphs!
"Top 10-Highest Paying Jobs Advertised in America" is really an interresting and excellent hub.
The food for thought is what is that thing which made these jobs the top ten jobs. They are those who relieve the pain and suffering of the people. People are not unwise they know where to spend and where not to spend. These top ten job givers should alsohave the food for thought that those who pay them they take their services. They may take or may not take. Who goave this, kowledge, wisdom and expertise that attracted the employers and who put attraction for these top tens in the hearts and minds of the payers. The answer from both side will be the Creator of the both and also of all that is there in the universe.
All provison and sustenace is in the hands of the Creator and it is He who is Controller of all affairs. We all whether active or passive, at the top or bottom, belog to Him and shall have to return unto HIm. Here during this short pan of life our role is under test as to what we do for the welfare, well being and well sishing of the whole mankind according to our best ability sincerely and honestly, correectly and fairly, properly and pleasantly to maintain the dignity of mankind in all our performances.
May God bless all.
It would be great if you could do one for Canada. lol
I hope everyone is okay after everything that is happening with the recession. All the best to everyone because everyone is doing their best.
Nice article...excellent information
I HOPE EVERY RICH/POOR MAN/WOMAN, LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, FOR GREAT INFORMATION, IN GOD WE TRUST, FOR THE FUTURE, WE CAN ALL PLANT SEEDS, FOR THE 21ST CENTURY,
Excellent Hub!!!!
The hub prove good informative about the increasing demand of physicians and professionals from the field of information technology. The graphical representation of various statistical information is very easy to understand and make the whole picture absolutely crystal clear. Thank a lot for sharing.
Very informative and well explained.
Very nice and informative hub. Keep giving us more interesting topics. Thanks and good luck on all your hubs.
It is one of the most useful hubs! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
great thanks
Great information here. You may just have persuaded me to change my major!
Rappers make a lot more money..lol. Good info!!
great hub here!
I don't see online writers listed lol - am I missing something. You write amazing hubs! Well done
Nice hub thanks.
great write nice hub
I hope I could be a CEO haha
Great overview of the best jobs in the worst job market.
hmm... interesting hub. I understand that physicians pay in the range of $50-120,000 for malpractice insurance each year in the US... mind you, often they are 'retained' (or 'owned' as they would have it in the biz) by a hospital or consortium who pays this cost on their behalf. It's understandable why Americans pay so much for their medical care...whew!
Good Job hub....
Good to see you again with another helpful hub!!

Great hub, and research. I am just starting college and will take this information into consideration for my career goals
Hope there would be a rags-to-riches or just getting by earner-to-insanely rich 'hubpages hubber millionaire' story.
Why not? There are a lot of authors here (self-published or with an agent) who can produce books which can get viral marketing from hubpages; and there are also people here with financial know-how to become a successful investor.
Well hoping it's not a delusional idea but just a hopeful idea....haha
Thanks, something to think about! But then I don't want to have a highest paid job, just an interesting and fairly paid job is good, too. Yes, people agree to pay no matter what those who relieve their pain. It's the art of making someone feel good and get paid for it.
Wow!! I wish I were in the health care industry!!! CA-CHING!!!
NICE HUB,visit my hub and comment plz
Interesting! Makes sense CEO's and physicians, dentists, lawyers. I didn't know flight pilots were up there but that's good to know. I want the guy who flies the plane 30000ft up in the air to be well paid and taken care of. Too bad my major is not among these...and i'm graduating in two months yoy!
OMG! I am from Canada, but I still found this so interesting. the yearly salaries are unbelievable!
Very interesting stats. Some of these were kind of surprising to read about.
Totally informative. Should be listed on Google when searching these things instead of endless wiki pages hahah
Where are those high paying jobs?
Yay yay, great ways to make money. "Expensive" article :)
Very good.
Several in the heath care field, great to know for future college gang. Thanks!
Excellent points. I'm still old school though. When I put someone into my organization, it happens through an interview. I throw the resume on the floor, ask questions, tell stories, and read responces. The resume means nothing more than an outline to me. (It's 100% embelished and 20% complete bull) Back to the point .. I enjoyed this piece.
jim aka tmwnp
I love the generic CEO as a high paying job.
My daughter wants to be a pharmicist. They weren't on your list but they make good money
great points, very infomative. thanks.
Nicee!!!
I guess I'm going to be a CEO! Thanks for the great info!
i think,i should make career in this field.
you've either did your research or you are a business analyst? Great hub! Thanks for sharing it!!
Great hub!!! Thank you for sharing!
this is great!! thanks
looks like Physicians clean the table. Great hub.
Great article about High Paying Jobs, really interesting and informative. It will help a lot of people.
This information makes it seem like being a CEO is the career to aim for. But what is missing is that rarely can you aim for such a high position within in a company. I would think it is better to aim to be the BEST at what you do and DO something that you really enjoy (aka passionate about). Then you will have riches beyond your dreams.

Really good information on the highest paid jobs. I am not surprised that the medical field-doctors appear to the one of the highest earning professions. It is definitely a field that requires a lot of discipline and commitment.
In advertising, like in most careers, the best jobs are never advertised but are word of mouth or agency recruited. Massive salaries in advertising though!
Great list, hub/article and usefull information!
Good job and thank you!
I would like to see you take into account the new jobs being created through different avenues of Internet Marketing or other form of income people create using the internet.
It would be interesting to see how their income has risen in the past few years. If there is enough data to track it.
Just a thought, chew on it a bit, and if you don't like it send it right back!
Enjoy!
Hi Patty
All of these jobs seen to be involving a large amount of finanical and time investment. Where wuld network marketing fit into here????
thanks,verry interesting!
SO, any advice on how I can go from a business analyst to a CEO in the next couple years? LOL
I def love all the research and back up you have in this work. Great job :)
Like your hub great content.
This was a very interesting article. I would have thought, doctors would have made more money than that. They sure do have to go through a lot to make so little. I think that the internet is the best way to make money. Before long, this will be the job path that everyone will take.
In this kind of economy any help is good, thanks.
Wow! They earn a lot of money. I am sure they work hard for it so they deserve the high payment. Nice Article Patty!
Great Hub, very interesting Read,
Regards,

Must have been a pain to go through that list and put it all in one page. Thank you!
Wow I used to work for OR Docs that were making over a million dollars a year. I know web guys that say they have had a bad year when they make 100,000 these days.
THisis wonderful and I loved all the helpful information.
It's no coincidence that the highest-paying jobs are also the ones requiring the highest personal investment of time, money, effort, and education. Good hub.
Great post. This is very helpful information, so thank you for sharing. This can help students decide on what course to take when they get to college. Aside from the jobs you have mentioned, nurses also have good salary.
Psychiatrists make more than a CEO?!? No way. Really?
Getting paid is very important I mean we all need to put dinner on the table and having a job with a good salary goes a long way.
However we gotta pick a career that we can live with because if you dont like what you are doing it is really hard to succeed in it
really nice list and very interesting, but you forgot one. Professional Hubber! Haha.
The healthcare industry will definitely see a lot of growth over time: nursing and the associated careers (physical therapy and speech/language therapy) are great opportunities to consider. Very interesting list, especially as I prepare to re-enter the workforce after the little one goes to kindergarten!
Good Read...Thanks for the info!
Hey this is great stuff, very informational!
Nice article, some of the salaries are quite large. Interesting that he health care segment dominates the lists. Perhaps I'm in the wrong field... :-)
As someone who is just now trying to go back to work after a bit of time off, your article is a real help. Thanks!
Hey, thanks for a great hub. I tweeted about this one. Have some great tips in here.
thanks for the info, just probably start leaving kettering
thank you for a big opportunity to do something
Very interesting, helpful and comprehensive hub you have here. Voted this hub up and useful. :)
Some interesting data in this hub.
I did know that internal medicine doctors get paid the most and I want to be a cardiologist. You did a great job on this hub, keep up the good job.
Some of those were surprising!
thanks for this infos...very great tips...
Great and informative hub!! I'm passing it on to my daughter, so that maybe it'll light a fire under her and she will finish college:) Voted Up and Useful!! Thanks so much!!
Great hub buddy, you have solved my all queries.
I thought this was going to be a cheesy reprint of a Yahoo article, but I was impressed by how well researched and written it was. Thank You!
Wonderful wordings there. Its informative hub..Thanks for sharing.
Nice hub. The information is great
Nice hub! As for some of the commentary, going to college for 4 years and then medical school for 4 years all on loans, I'm currently over $200,000 in debt to the government. During residency, the top salary is for chief resident surgeons, and that ends up being about $55,000 a year, for an 80/week work hour restriction. We do, eventually, make good money as attendings, but I will have been (if you consider an hourly wage) making under minimum wage for 8 years of training after 8 previous years of medical school. I have trouble paying my bills month to month. Just some food for thought - CEO may indeed be a more fruitful proposition if timeliness and lifestyles are considered :)
nice hub though...
I knew that in the public sector that healthcare is well paying. I just hope that there is more quality of healthcare workers than people just wanting to get the money.
Sounds like a good list. Thanks.
Great, i like your writings
Great information. This will be very helpful for people who are looking for a job right now. I couldn't imagine being able to make $103 an hour!
VERY interesting. I must admit I'm surprised I didn't see traders mentioned - those wall street traders can make some huge money.
This a good list.Thank you
I appreciated your research on this...Its really informative. Thanks
Hi, Patty...Glad to see RN made the list of jobs on the rise. One of my granddaughters will soon be graduating from nursing school.
The only "gripe" I have about the jobs with high salaries is that I've known far too many CEOs who were not worth their high pay, stock options and other valuable perks. When they proved next to worthless, to the detriments of the companies they headed, none of it was taken away from them when relieved of their posts. So unfair! JAYE
Wow, I'm so glad I came across your hub! Lots of great research and well written, as well. Thanks for your insights.
Very nice and informative hub. Keep giving us more interesting topics. Thanks and good luck on all your hubs.
Great. Info to have. Thanks
It is not new to see that most careers that top the rankings are on the medical fields. They deserve to be paid that much because they really work very hard as well. I am just a bit surprised thought that software engineers are only on the top 10 because I know few people who are sr software engineers who make more than some of the medical professionals mentioned in the top 10. Great info!
Nice work! Very detailed and helpful :)I'm planning on starting my own counseling practice and this really gave me some great perspective on how to go about it AND what I'll be getting out of it!
just like leaving a billionaire life but you have too work hard to get it more money more work more spending
good information here. looks like you have done a lot of research and I found it very helpful. thanks for the hard work.
So happy to have found this page BEFORE i start university so I already have a chosen career/location (:
That is nice hub,you explained very well ,I think most of the high paying jobs are hidden and only recruiters can handle it ..Thanks for the nice hub...

Good to know this list. Looks like going back to school is in order
