Patty just perfect article (as always)
lots of great information
(I need to research the article 'Medical Communities on the Moon' sounds intriguing)
regards Zsuzsy
Ladies, I went there last night and they have postponed all of this until the world has recovered from the crash in the stock market.
Mr. Bush has acknowledged there is an issue in the USA and it made it worse.
No money for moon studies, any way that what was in my dream.
Getting away from the point Patty, that was an excellent hub.
Thank you
Hey Patty, lots of effective and excellent tips, thanks for a very informative hub!
Great hub Patty. This is something I can use. I am looking into freelancing. Thanks for this information.
woww great hub. pity i'm not that skilled hehehe
Great insights.
Patty!! Once again you are just the BEST!! I love just being near your Hubs in the hopes that your talent will in some way rub off in my direction!! Thank you so much for raising the bar once again!! Blessings, Earth Angel!!
I wrote freelance for a while and still do. I went around to many internet forums and wrote articles for $10-$20 a pop for a while. Never had a shortage of work. When applying for a writing job, you should show your creative side most of the time.
Interest and activity of mind are two most important things to learn anything.
Practice makes man perfect so keep on writing dnt give up. once again an excellent hub with lots of useful tips.
Hi Patty,
I've had a look at a bunch of your hubs: Top stuff!
The resume writing topic is really well developed. I appreciate the part about the advantages of the combined resume. It's important to take a fresh look at our own once in a while --thanks for the reminder!
UFOs request was removed by moderator.
The same request I made again.
I hope your new hub float soon on HUBPAGES. Gud Luck.
An insightful article especially in time of an uncertainty with oversaturated (mostly foreclosures) housing market on the fringe, fearful recession looming around the corner resulting from credit mismanagement and massive layoffs left and right to boost stock values in order to mollify fickle shareholders.
Unfortunately, your article do not apply to everyone else. It's perfect for those poor writers still struggling on their 15th week strike. But that's OK because one can learn some new helpful tips.
I look forward to your new hub on UFOs. Thank you.
hey, I think you answered my request, but i did not get notified thru email....thanks, this is just what i was looking for Patti!
Very good info and ease to understand. *thumb up* for you!!
Excellent. I still learning to writing. :)
Nice graphics and information.
Great hub Patty! I'm breaking into the Freelance world and this will help improve my resume. Not too mention the posted literature.

I start practise writing and thank you for your informations. It can help me so much
Thanks so much for all the great info. It was well written and your research appears excellent.
I spent many years helping others develop their resumes to find better paying jobs, but, of course, had no clue when it came to revamping my own.
Thank for for your clarity and practical suggestions.
It's great that you added that comment about the cover letter. I think too many people think of it as "unimportant" and something that can be written in a couple of minutes. They can open doors and tell the employer details that may get lost in a resume.
Good comments, especially about covers letters. Resume writing fan here :)
That's an excellent Resume. Thanks
Hi there, that is one excellent sample for writers. I'm glad I came accross your hub it is very helpfull. Nevertheless, how would a new writer with no "published experience" create a resume? I mean, with no articled published as yet, and very little experience in the field (at leasta s a professional), it is very hard to get a job without a good resume. But than again, it is also hard to create a GOOD articles without much to back it up.
I think this is the most difficult part of becoming a freelance writer. No?
Hi All,
Nice to be here. This is very informative site. Thanks for making this possible.

Thank You for your post. I was looking for information about writing a resume for Freelance writing jobs. Thank You for your awesome post.
Thanks Again
Thanks for the tips. I'm looking to overhaul my resume, so the example resume was especially helpful.
Thank you for such a useful hub! Your experience and credentials are very impressive.
My career (before kids) was in Marketing, but there was always a writing element involved (newsletters, press releases, corporate investor information, website content, brochures, even instructional manuals). Now that I have a family, I need more flexibility and am trying to find my way in the world of freelance writing. While I'm enjoying the writing, I have not yet been able to make a career of it.
Your sample resume may be just what I need to start earning a living with what I love to do! Thanks again.
Sincerely yours,
Cheeky
good blog :_)
It can never be said enough Patty, your hubs are real good, such an inspiration. Thanks for sharing!
Great e.g Article, Hubpaages score, and great page rank lol :-) Wow!!
Thank you! I really needed this info. I'm following you.
Thanks patty! I found you after doing a google search for 'resume examples for writers'. I should have cut out the middleman and searched hubpages first. Once again, you amaze me with another incredibly helpful hub. Thanks...
Nice. Not my preferred format, but definitely an effective resume. More interesting is that you are the first "HubPages Elite" person I have ever stumbled on. I'm not sure if that says more about me or HubPages, but I am intrigued none the less.
I am a newbie in the stream of writing, after reading the above sample writer's cv i am motivated for my first flight in the realm of writing.
This is a helpful hub for a freelance writer like me! :) Thanks.
Thanks so much for writing this. I was just searching on google for Resume for a freelance writer and your hubpage came up first. New rule for me is Check HubPages first when you need something rather than google. Thanks again!
Hello Patty:
I enjoyed your article. Do you have a Masters in Science?
Good tips! I've never had anybody ask me for a resume. I'm a pretty good talker, though. I usually make the deal over the phone. I've sent plenty of writing samples, though. There are some chain-pullers out there... people who don't know what they want and I can see them running around gather up 100 different writers' resumes. But, most people who are serious about getting something done just want to know if you can do the job and the best way to prove that is with writing samples in the same genre. Good job!
Thank you - I found this hub extremely useful.
nice post
Thanks, Patty. I just quit my job as a corporate attorney to focus on my writing. My primary goal is to finish my novel, but I'm also exploring Hubpages, freelancing, and blogging. I've read a few of your hubs and have found them to be very helpful as I get my writing career off the ground. Thanks again.
Another amazing hub, Patty. Love all your works. They're made handsomely.
Hi mam, I am also a freelancer but I am a graphic designer. SO this would be important for me much.
Thanks much for this hub.
Thanks Patty! I'm pretty well versed in resumes, but had no idea how to structure mine to reflect my freelancing experience. Stumbled around the net looking for some help, then voila! Hubpages to the rescue!
Thanks Patty, this is a great help as I attempt to get started in this field.
Although this was written long ago, it is still relevant and I appreciate it immensely
Thanks for this article Patty! Quick question....what do you do if you have a broad range of life/work/educational experiences? For example I do energy healing and write about holistic health but am also a trained actress and horse trainer lol....not to mention a parent. Not sure what to target in a resume?! Thanks!
Patty
This is an awesome format because it is simple. Many often make the mistake of churning the same thing over and over again in their resumes. It's great to brag about your work and past experience, but it is important to let your writing work do the talking. Links to online writing work are a must, like you mentioned. I'm bookmarking and sharing this hub with friends.

Hi, Patty. Talk about an evergreen hub - this one's still getting regular responses after 3 years! Well done!! (^_^)
I'm just starting to go through your resume suggestions, and I found this one excellent. I'm getting laid off in a couple weeks, and I'll be putting myself out there again for freelance work. This is the first article I've read of its type, and I think it'll really help me get my brain together. Thanks for posting it! It's a very specific topic, but where better to put it than hubpages?? (^_^)
Rated up/awesome, and looking forward to reading the rest of your resume hubs. Even a job-hunting veteran like me can learn some new tricks from time to time. (~_^)
Thanks for the sample! I'm looking into freelance writing to help pay for school. Writing a resume has always been a little intimidating for me since I don't have much work experience. But everyone has to start somewhere!
ESSENTIAL
Great info.
