Nugget Family Robinson Welcomes New Writers!
67STS-129
Found in HubPages - No Better Place!
Lost In Space was really one of a series of take-offs on Daniel Defoe's classic novel Robinson Crusoe-- You know the spin-offs, like Walt Disney's Swiss Family Robinson, etc., etc. The TV futuristic series of the 1960s that starred June Lockhart, Guy Williams, Jonathan Harris, and crew - the cult classic Lost In Space - was "space Family Robinson."
Now, the HubNuggets Team has stowed away like Dr. Smith on Mission STS-129 and Space Shuttle ATLANTIS on its launch of November 16, 2009. We are Nugget Family Robinson, stowaways, but well trained by previous missions.
They haven't found us yet! But we've found you, new Hubbers.
Our Top 10 Picks of Hubnugget Wannabes are listed further below. Please enjoy them, and remember to take a few seconds to VOTE for your favorite in the POLL at the end of this page. It will help new writers a lot with extra attention, some increased traffic, and some encouragement to write more and invite friends to join us. We sincerely appreciate every single vote.
The Missions
The Mission for STS-129 is Stocking the Station. The Mission for the HubNuggets Team is Stocking the Pages. We will present the works of new Hubbers to our readers and the universe. In fact, we do this every week in a HubNuggets Hub like this.
For the STS-129 Mission Patch, the sun shines on the International Space Station above and the USA below, illustrating a bright future for US manned spaceflight.
For STS-129 and the ISS, spare parts being delivered mean "spare years on the station’s life." HOWEVER, the Top 10 New Hubs listed below are anything but spare parts! They are our top picks from the past week's total submissions to HubPages by new writers - a couple thousand in all.
For this Mission, the HubNuggets Team also has a Mission Patch.
Nugget Family Robinson Mission Team
Canada in HubSpace
You see from the big yellow X that we lost ProCW temporarily for his own secret mission. He'll be back, but meanwhile, we recuited two more team members that are really winners!
They are both quick studies and had no problem at all with Multiple-G escape weights and Zero-G weight...less...ness - or stowing away on a space shuttle. After all, Mission STS-129 neglected to recuit women - or Canadians. Our two new mission specialists here for Mission Nugget Family Robinson are both! They happily join Canadian mission commander Captain Shirley Anderson.
Mission Fanfare...
O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide, O Canada,
We stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

Patty, the best part of the training was the Zero-G weight...less...ness. I lost all that weight without dieting...loved it, will do it everytime I need to step on the scales from now on.
Thanks for the great welcome.
I can honestly say that being a 'Hub-nugget-picker' is not an easy job because there are way too many great hubs to choose from.
Great hub and great pic too.
Wow, I'm flattered!! Thanks so much :)
From the photo, it looks like Zsuzsy and RedElf did great on the KC-135A (I think we all know the other name for that plane).
They did a great job picking nuggets, too! Awesome hub, Patty! Now I had best get back to the controls. I think I saw Dr. Smith poking around there!
Thanks for the nomination. I really appreciate it!
Great Hub Patty, and good choices to bring on board your Team! (I'm a little partial being there is a great Canadian Connection in both!) Welcome to Zsusy Bee and RedElf to this team.
I haven’t always had the time to check out the newbies that are showcased on the HubNugget Wannabe Nominations, but I get here as often as I can. This week’s selection is great. Now to choose. Hmmm....
Phew! Man am I exhausted! Just touched down in the back fourty with my jet pack, the exhaust has chafed my thighs and I have to wipe some seagull poo from my chest but I think I'll be ok, the prototype is ready for Mission STS-129!
Thanks for the nomination, you wordsmiths of the Nugget Family Robinson are a riot! I am honored and electric with joy!
Time to go 5...4...3...2...1...BLASTOFF!!!
Thanks so much for the nomination this week!
Hey, my friends can't vote for me because the poll shows the results not the vote button. How can I fix this?

Patty! I didn't comment last time I was here! I know I was tired but sheesh! Must be that I'm recovering from G-force sickness or something.
